Alrigt, I forgot to mention, Louise TX kit came on friday but she'll wait till summer to start with her 'cause she got her studies at the moment.


As for me, I've ordered a straight and curved scissors to ease up the trimming since it takes forever to trim ears with the knife, lol.
Next part for me is going to Kristianstad, hopefully this week to buy clams so I can put the helmet together.
I've watched a few tutorials/others builds on the helmet so hopefully it'll go my way.
And I hope I've come quite the way on my build till the summer so it'll go faster to build hers than it does for me.

Unless you have 2.2mm ABS like I do you can get away with just lexan scissors, triangle file for the teeth, and sandpaper/sandsponge to trim the entire armor.

I did my ears without a dremel. It was so much fun. Do get one anyway, if not just for the ears but for the blaster build if you're going for resin kit.

Yeah I was thinking of a blaster since it aint the same blaster I got now (Snowtroopers "stunt version") so I'll get a dremel anyway hehe.

Got my fans this week too so I tried to put them together with a battery case to see if they work, results: yes they work and here's how they look at the moment:
I was using a couple of tiny pc-fans in my snowtrooper and I realised that I need something with more power and these seems to give the right amount of power.
Don't want more condensation lol. But I don't know what kind of tape I need to isolate the cables from sweat and heat.

Aight, got the scissors today so I finished as much as I can do at the moment (on the helmet that is).
I knew the Stormtrooper helmet was asymmetric but goddamn so asymmetric it is!!
And ears... I won't lie, but I think I've put out like 4 hours on them and yet not 100% but good thing I got a couple of extra ears if I wanna try to get more accurate.


I feel a bit proud lol.

I saw some trick over at FISD to get the ears trimmed better. Something with a pen, a rubber band and a toothpick to get the contour right. Check in the tutorial/how-tos.

Haven't tried it myself, but it looked like it would work. I'm no expert, but it looks like the ears needs to loose another couple of mm.

The ears are really a beast to deal with. 4 hours is a good start.
