I got her a plain saber hilt, from Ultrasabers, that we want to model the texture on to. Any sugestion on what materials to use for the texturing, is most welcome

For more bark like details you could do a silicone cast of some type of tree bark. And then use the silicone pad to press on the texture.

Nope, this is a guy in the US.
M&M already got a hilt so it doesn't matter.

He doesn't want his work to be copied and rarely does anything for sale. He also knows the original Legacy series artist, Jan Duursema.
He`s also the Flagship Eclipse`s detachment leader.

I think, that it´s Thomas John Spanos, that Jouko means, and yes indeed he has made an awesome hilt - sculpted it himself.
