501st Clone Part 2 (Armor)

Post by 7995 » 11 Sep 2013, 11:52

Since my first build thread came up to 22 pages, and it didnt really contain anything else than my Helmet and some talk about paint, I decided to start a new thread for the armor.

Finally got my lazy butt away from playing computer games, and re-opened the box with the parts.

So pics of where I am now, and could need some input. Think I'm ready to cut the AB/Kidney where it meets the hips, but would like a second opinion before I start cutting ;)

That's pretty much how I cut mine.

Yeah thought I saw both you and Jazz do that, but just wanted to be sure :)

If you are unsure, don't cut at the line, but a bit away from it and try it on again.

He's right. Slicing with a blade on plastic makes all the material shrink a little bit, and might you have gained weight after the bag of crisp you had while cutting.

Took measurements for some weight gain along the way ;)

Been test fitting some of the pieces, and it seems I need to move the "tap" on the Butt plate back a bit.

Also like the shape of the new "tap" better :)

I think you may need to move the belt down a tiny bit at the front. I think there's supposed to be no gap between the cod and the belt. Could be wrong though...
