How to start a suit.

Post by Saul Tellion » 26 Aug 2014, 21:44

Hello Nordic Garnisson i am one of the many persons that seen the good you do and now with a 1 year time to build a suit i ask the forum for help where to start.
1: Do i buy a "kit" and build or get moluds?
2: What materials should the armour be in and don´t be in?
3: Any other tips, tricks and things to keep in mind?

This is the armours i am interested in

Hi Tobias and welcome to the Nordic Legions!

I'm no expert in the costumes you're interested in but there are quite a few clones around here.
The best source for all things and information about clones you'll find over at Clone Troopers Detachment (part of the 501st Legion) (CTN) http://forum.clonetroopers.net
Be sure to register an account there. You'll find all the answers, examples, and sources you need over there.

To quickly, but not exhaustingly, answer your questions:
1. Commonly you'd get a kit.
2. I believe ABS or HIPS are the two materials mostly in use.
3. Head over to CTN. Read, read, read. You'll be investing both time and money into this so you would want to know as much as possible before you get to the money part of it all. At CTN you'll find a lot of information. Never forget to have fun. :)

Out of curiosity. Where are you from? There might be local troopers or events near you where you could meet members and ask questions in person. Maybe even clones. :)

Welcome again. :)

No we're not getting crowded. Not by a long shot.

We have so many cool things in Gothenburg and all troopers should consider moving there. :)

Welcome aboard Tobias!

I had a TC Captain kit once, but sold it away, but I can be helpful about giving you advice for where to buy armor kit and helmet kit from.
PM me when you want to know more, and I will be happy to help out :)

Again, welcome aboard! :D

I agree wholeheartedly.

We've been talking about a Gothenburg meet up with troopers/supporters/hopeful cadets but it haven't happened yet. You should let us know next time you're coming down and maybe we could get something happening. Beer or coffee kind of thing. :)
