Over the years we have had many people who have helped Nordic Garrison with various things, arranging events, providing services, donating equipment
and so on. In order to recognise these people we have today launched the
Friends of Nordic Garrison page on this site.

Our conquest of
Örnsköldsvik is now complete. The Sith Lords Darth Vader and Darth
Maul hired the feared bounty hunter Boba Fett and took their elite
troops to northern Sweden to ensure that the opening of Star Wars:
The Exhibition was not sabotaged by rebel spies. Imperial order was
maintained and the weekend was a massive success. A full report and
photographs will be distributed in the next few days once they have
been approved by the Imperial Information Bureau.

his armour all the time so he has let it stay dirty and converted
himself to a sandtrooper. Congratulations on a very nice costume. To

Today our Public Relations Officer,
TB-5573, and several other members of Nordic Garrison will be
featured on the Tendens show on Sweden's P1 radio station. The show
will be broadcast at 11:03 then again at 20:03. We will make the
programme available for you to listen to after its first broadcast.

Today Nordic Garrison has reached yet another milestone in its
history. For the first time we have 50 active members. This is big
news as it means that Nordic Garrison has doubled in size in less
than two years. Our 50th member is David Bischoff from Denmark and
we would like to extend a very warm welcome to you.
We also have quite a few prospective members working on costumes at
the moment so hopefully Nordic Garrison will continue to go from
strength to strength over the next two years.

Over the past few weeks we have had several
events and not always had time to keep the website up to date with
how they all went so here is a quick summary.
On the 29th of March TB-5573 and TK-7160 invaded the Hjerpeskans LAN party in Nyköping. We had a great day with everyone there including our first "Stormtrooper Guitar Hero Challenge". The game players were given the chance to challenge us in Guitar Hero and each paid 50SEK which was then added to the Nordic Garrison charity collection. The troopers took an early lead but by the end of the day the scores were pretty even. You can see the pictures here. There is also a video of the Guitar Hero Challenge on our Videos page.
Then on the 18th of April we joined our friends from Örnsköldsviksmuseum at Arlanda airport in Stockholm for some advertising for Star Wars: The Exhibiton which is coming to Sweden at the end of June. It was a long and very hot day but we had a lot of fun and, hopefully, attracted some more visitors to the exhibition. Why not have a look at how we got on?
Then last, but
definitely not least, was a marketing event for Lucasfilm to build
up to the release of Star Wars: Clone Wars in cinemas and then on
television this summer and autumn. We started off by appearing as if
by magic in the windows above the crowd then marched down into the
reception area and guarded while the presentations were made. One of
the highlights was seeing some previsouly unreleased footage of
Clone Wars. It looks like it is going to be fantastic. Watch out for
Nordic Garrison troopers at cinemas in Malmö, Göteborg and Stockholm
on the opening night. Click

The weekend is over and we are all tired...
But we did break our old charity collection record - which means that the
child ward in Denmark will get as much toys as they had and probably even
more. We want to take the opportinity once again to thank all the visitors
who came by our stand and donated/had their photo taken, our great supporters
who we wouldn't stay alive without, Mr Isberg for yet another great
convention and the troopers for doing a great job!

sure to come and pay us a visit at the Scandinavian Sci-Fi, Game &
Film Convention in Göteborg, Sweden, 1 - 2 of March.
Besides meeting our handsome troopers, you can also buy autographs
from Linda Blair (The Exorcist), Lance Henriksen (Millennium,
Aliens), Michael Winslow (Police Academy), Orli Shoshan (Star Wars
Ep II - III), Lawrence Makoare (LOTR) and Ken Colley (Star Wars /
Life of Brian). The convention is also crowded with stands selling
collector items, toys, posters etc.
We, the Nordic Garrison, will collect funds using our "famous" photo
stand where you can have your photo taken with your favourite Star
Wars character (Stormtroopers, Biker Scouts, Darth Vader etc). All donations from this event goes to Barncancerfonden, Sweden.
