Looking good :)
I need to work on securing the mask to the hood in some way, as most of the time only one eye was visible as the hood and/or mask kept sliding sideways.
Nice little test-run today, and a few things to sort out before May 17th :)
Kiddo loved it and shouted "Utinni" the whole time :p

Looks so cute :) Now I'm sad that I missed that troop.

I built the bandolier, weathered the whole costume and here is the result. I will change the eyes. When it is too bright outside they appear white because of the white pingpong balls I'm using. Will change them to yellow ones.

I ended up using the same type of dog-lights with batteries that you just squeeze on/off, and cut out a round yellow piece of plastic that I tape to the front of it.
Have made a new mask that covers the whole face and without black mesh "beard" that makes it easier to go "bucket on/off".
Seems like your robe is thinner and lighter than the one I have, what type of fabric is it?
(btw, I like the stack of boardgames :) I'm an even bigger boardgamegeek than a SW geek :p )

Hahaha, I was slightly confused why you mentioned boardgames. I didn't notice that they are in the picture :) The stack continues to the ceiling, addicted^^ Just ordered a new game.
The fabric is monk's cloth. It's not too heavy. But it's depending on the amount you use. My outer robe is kind of heavy in the end.
Bought new ping-pong balls now. Gonna fix the mask. Kiddo liked the mask. He said it was quite comfortable. The other version with the theater mask he didn't like. So I guess I stick to the current version with the goggles.

Awesome looking Jawas. So much I see here that makes me realise how much I have to learn for this hobby.

Awesome game collection too, nice way to record it. I've got mine on Board Game Geek, board games are such fun. How is Forbidden Desert?, it's one I'm thinking of picking up for the summer.

Forbidden Desert is ok, but my favorite co-op game is Pandemic, then Shadows over Camelot.
But Forbidden Desert is better than Forbidden Island at least.

Jawas are nice in numbers. We should get more :)

Hi,
I'm new here at this Forum and I'm planning 3 costumes right now.
One is a Jawa for my 10 year old.
I think we'll manage the making, but we have an issue finding the right fabric. Here in Piteå they only had this thick dark furniture-fabric.
What are you other guys use? How dark should it be?
I have logged on to Krayts Forum, but the ideas 'bout american stores doesn't help much here in North Sweden.
