I'm not planning on anything for at least a year, I need to get a passport and save enough funds. It'll also give me enough time to figure out my itinerary. I do want to visit Trondheim, that's where I was told my Ancestors came from.
Well, they came from the right place then! Plenty of troopers in Trondheim! I'd recommend coming here to the National Day parade on May 17th, where we have troopers walk in the big parade around the city. A lot of people wear a traditional costume called "bunad" on that day, so that might be interesting to see. Other than that we attend the local con, Torucon in August, which is also a lot of fun :-) Those two are the biggest troops in Trondheim, and the weather is usually at its best then (around 20 C, or 70 F). We don't have any other local troops planned that far ahead in time. Outside Trondheim, it might be fun to troop at Finse (shooting location of Hoth in ESB), which we plan to do again in February. This year, there were a lot of troopers there from Norway, and some from Sweden and Germany as well. There are other cons and large troops elsewhere in the country as well, but I'll let the troopers local to those tell you about it :-)
