The cloak is made up of two parts, an outer and an inner cloak. The

It is recommended that the bottom hem of the outer cloak clear the
ground by no more than three inches.
The inner cloak should be a wine-red, mauve, or burgundy inner tunic-style robe the same

Heavy fabrics such as velvet or gabardine are recommended for both
parts of the cloak.

extraneous straps/buckles (AOTC / ROTJ).
or
Red / crimson leather or synthetic (non glossy) gauntlet style
gloves with no extraneous straps/buckles, or ornamental stitching;
worn OVER the inner robe sleeves (ROTS).

costumes:
Black leather or synthetic (non glossy) boots with no texture. The heel
should be relatively conservative and there should be no extraneous straps/buckles, or
ornamental stitching. They should reach above the wearer's ankle or higher.
or
Wine-red or burgundy suede boots, with a relatively conservative

outer cloak.
